Textbook in Rev
I am in the later stages of converting a college Latin textbook to electronic format using Revolution. Among the challenges: dealing with special language characters, creating electronic dictionary & glossary functions, large text and multi-media files etc. etc. Would be happy to exchange posts with anyone with similar experience and/or headaches.

Hi Preston,
I'm involved in several larger and smaller projects that use "special language characters" or unicode. Have a look at the Economy-x-Talk web site for a general impression and contact me directly if you need a hand.
Best,
Mark

I checked your website but couldn't make the contact links work. Perhaps you could point me to an example of unicode characters in x-talk.Mark wrote:Hi Preston,

You're right Preston, something went wrong with the latest site update. It has been fixed and the contact links on the site work now.
When you mentioned special language characters, didn't you refer to unicode? I can easily send you some unicode examples that are completely useless with Revolution, as well as some that Rev knows to deal with.
I'm not sure that samples of unicode text will help you, but if you have problems importing, manipulating and exporting unicode, Economy-x-Talk can help with a working cross-platoform solution.
Best,
Mark

I'd appreciate the samples, both uselss and useful in Revolution. I'm particularly interested in Macrons (long marks) over vowels. Thaks.Mark wrote:You're right Preston, something went wrong with the latest site update. It has been fixed and the contact links on the site work now.
