I have LiveCode 4.5.3 installed on C:\ drive.
In the Preferences of my LiveCode shortcut,
I have set the "Start In" value as my work area, z:\liveCode
From the Preferences window, under Files and Memory, there is an option:
User Extensions, where I have placed extensions for SQL Yoga and the Data Grid Helper.
z:\liveCode\plugins
LiveCode does not seem to recognize them as plugins. But... when I place the same .rev plugin files in
LiveCode 4.5.3\plugins folder, then the are recognized fine.
Have I misunderstood the purpose of the User Extension option?

The plugins folder is case sensitive. You have to name it Plugins.
z:\liveCode\Plugins

Re: User Extensions option
Okay. I renamed the folder to "Plugins" and-- it is working now.
Though not as expected. It seems the User Extensions, Plugins,
folder allows you to load Plugins individually as needed, Unlike the
...\LiveCode 4.5.3\Plugins folder which loads them automatically.
Thanks Slugo! The update to the Data Grid Helper downloaded fine!

Re: User Extensions option
If you open Plugin Settings from the Development|Plugins menu you can change when individual plugins get loaded.
